The doors that come down to shut off access when a squirrel stands on the perch are PLASTIC and the squirrels just chew through them and can the eat as much as they want. Not squirrel-proof.

Bought one thinking it would be good. Watched a crow open the door and knock the suet block out. I bought this cage along with some suet because the prices were so good. Found the side door open three days in a row and squirrels feasting on the suet block...
