It hold twice or more as much feed so less refilling. But otherwise a solid purchase. We have been looking for a long time for a bird feeder to replace our old one. Birds love it too! Bought this a while back and in seems to work pretty well.

EXCELLENT feeder if you have a lot of birds like we do! :) I have this exact one that I bought 6 yrs ago. It held up very well but now needed replaced so I ordered a new one. I could not be more satisfied.

Most importantly, it does NOT defeat squirrels. You must buy the Perky-Pet Transparent Squirrel Baffle to make this feeder work; otherwise I would return it. PROS: Looks really nice.

Remember, get trays. Since that time I have purchased three more. I received on feeder and tray for Father's day and was really impressed on the way birds could sit and eat. Also the food was eaten and not blowing all over.

I've probably made 100 or more. Nice design, better than single cake holders as we have many birds coming to our feeder and no need to keep opening and putting more in the single ones.
