When they get dirty, I just wash in some mild detergent, dry and they are good to go again. Chickadees and House Finches also use them. The Goldfinches love these socks and they are easy to eat from.

When I set to the most sensitive setting a small red squirrel had some trouble but a big, fat grey squirrel had no problem. Most importantly, it does NOT defeat squirrels. Can clearly see when feed is low.

Received this as gift 1 yr ago, thought what a great idea. I like that it can feed more than the normal feeder. You cannot get rubber gaskets on end to keep from leaking. Nothing but trouble with it.

Also the food was eaten and not blowing all over. I received on feeder and tray for Father's day and was really impressed on the way birds could sit and eat. Since that time I have purchased three more.

I found a different design that is more efficient, doesn't drip and the hummers can get more food. Both tubes fell off and broke. When turning the tube upside down or even side ways, the food just drips out pretty fast.
