- Soil: Tomatoes love rich, black, acid soil with plenty of humus and organic material for a fluffy texture. Mulch with compost every couple of weeks for maximum yield. Any tomato in a container deserves something 10 gallons or larger.

- Fruit: Bicolor, striped green on green while ripening. Tennis ball to baseball sized fruit when ripe, slightly soft when ready, deep red with metallic gold striping over the entire fruit.
