Much quieter than the original Engel pump but has only one setting. Was able to run it continuously for 2 1/2 days on a set of D cell batteries. Don't think the minnows noticed. Limited experience but it did it's job on the trip.

It is very well made and fits the bucket like a glove. The handle in the center pops up ( I did not know this) and is very sturdy. Fantastic gift for someone who is impossible to find gifts for.
