While there is an extension arm, the "click to lock" feature doesn't tighten or hold the brush rigid, even when you're not extending the arm. You can brush snow in one direction, but not in the other because the brush turns 90 degrees.

I've had almost a month and the elastic is already broken.

They're functional and a great value. I bought two (2) brush/scraper combos for my daughters.
