Spanish bluebells are black walnut tolerant and great for naturalizing. Commonly known as Spanish Bluebells, these precious perennials are a delight of delicate, yet showy blooms on cut-worthy stems.

The wide, thick, low succulent arching silvery green foliage is spotted and speckled with large and small dark green spots. Ledebouria was previously in the genus Scilla and is sometimes called False Squill.

The strap like slim leaves emerge in the fall, and in mid-spring the tall flower stalks appear fully packed (50-100 blossoms) with blue colored flowers that can last for weeks. Scilla Peruviana, also known as Giant Scilla, is grown from a big bulb.

Expect scilla to spread when planted in a hospitable spot. Position Full sun in late winter, partial shade in summer. Scillas combine well with crocuses and early-blooming daffodils.
