Schisandra Chinensis

Also known as Bay Star-Vine or Climbing Magnolia is one of the twenty five plants in the Schisandra genus of the family known asNorth Carolina and Tennessee, it is listed as threatened.Japanese honeysuckle choking the vine out of its natural habitat.

Two years ago I planted some black seeds that were cryptically labeled "orange lily." I potted them and left them in the garden to acheive whatever natural stratification Mother Nature would decide to give them.

Although many people in Europe and Northern America know the fruit only through the canned desserts supplied in many Chinese restaurants it is almost impossible to eat those when you have tasted the fresh ones a few hours after harvest!The tree itself...
