Purple Clematis Plant

Flowers are very large and bloom in May and June and again in September on 8' vines that need no pruning. Attracts hummingbirds and butterflies. For best production, plant where the vines are in the sun and the roots are in the shade.

Pruning group B1, meaning pruning is mostly optional, and should be done in the spring after the first flush of blooms. The light pink petals are accented with darker purple-red bars.

Single flowers will follow for the duration of the summer. (Pruning group B1.) For the most double blooms, leave the vines free from pruning until after the early blooms have finished.
