I filled all of the surface holes with exterior grade wood putty. I put 8 screws in the roof to make sure it was tight. Can see myself doing some fine tuning in the future. The feeder is, in fact, put together with staples.

I bought a Squirrel X feeder for my birds and bought this for my squirrels! I would love it if you could make this feeder squirrel resistant also and I would buy another! Maybe wobbly roof that fits over the top and Little overhanging roofs on each porthole...
