I placed suet cake outside my window near a lilac bush. It seems to be holding up quite well. The birds have been feeding on it quite regularly these past two weeks.

It doesn't last long and I don't dare put another kind of suet up. The "flavor" that holds together best and lasts longer is The Pine Tree Farms Hi-energy Suet Cake. I have two going at all times.

The other brands are not as appealing to my feathered friends and I like knowing I'm providing a good, quality product. Would not be without this suet , our birds go crazy over it .

I mix the whole peanuts in with the nut and fruit blend as well. Will be ordering more. They would feed on the bird seed we put out, but since we bought the Kaytee peanuts they clearly love them and don't bother with the bird seed.
