Heirloom Italian variety producing small, deep blue-green central heads with numerous side shoots throughout the season. Seeds are used as sprouts, similar to alfalfa, for a nutritious addition to sandwiches or salads.

Rich in vitamin A, this early maturing, brilliant orange colour, coreless crispy variety is of exceptional sweet flavour! Great for juicing, freezing or fresh use.

Vines need support. The sweet crisp fresh pods are excellent in salads. Harvest early before the peas form inside so pods are tender and sweet. Ht. 90-150cm/3-5ft. Some call this pea the "Queen of the Orient" because it is so often added to stir fries.

Former All-American award winner, famous for its pure dark purple foliage, but in recent years it has become about 25% green. Excellent for seasoning, and for basil vinegar which turns a beautiful red colour.
