This feeder looks great and should last a long time. Would be a litttle more sturdy if they used screws instead of staples for the joints. A coat of Min Wax stain (to seal the wood) and then two coats of polyurethane satin finish.

I got my about 5 years ago. I had one for 5 or 6 years before I had to replace it with a new one. It's perfect! I love this feeder as it holds so much seedbut my squirrels like it too.

Had a Pileated woodpecker on it yesterday feeding! This is well build. I've probably made 100 or more. I like that it holds four suet cakes. (They sell quite well, and make great gifts.) Besides, this is the best price anywhere.
