Have only had the unit for about a month and used it during a one week fishing vacation. Was able to run it continuously for 2 1/2 days on a set of D cell batteries. Limited experience but it did it's job on the trip.

We bought this yesterday and it was working great but it someone submerged slightly and then today wouldn't work at all.
