Great for many projects! This is a rare desert gem! There are a couple of small incursions. These blanks are dry and ready to use! There are burl eyes over 30-to-60% of the pieces and the lengths vary from 4-3/4” to 5” (plus or minus an 1/8”).

This rare and very beautiful South American species has a range of figure from subtle to Exhibition and Museum grade. There is one 3/8" knot and a couple of small incursions. These are freshly cut as of April 2017 and do contain moisture.

Some pieces contain black color on the surface that will easily turn away. These are all fresh cut and wax sealed. Air dried for 2 years as of September 2017. This wood is fully wax sealed which lends a dark color to the outside of the blank.

There are bark incursions here and there, and occasional pieces may still have residual clay pockets. It is excellent for turning and for use in fancy articles. Kiln dried and surfaced on two sides.

Ziricote takes a high glass-like polish. Checks were mostly cut off during our milling after kiln drying but a few boards may have an occasional check or split usually in the sapwood areas.

Please note that these pieces may arrive to you in a clear, plastic bag if ordered with other items. Weight will vary. As you can see in the photos, some blanks will have incursions & areas of live edge but there are many clean blanks as well.
