Valve body parts are made out of a durable glass-filled nylon, which is vented to eliminate siphoning. Unlike common ball float valves, the Hudson Valve does not constrict the flow prior to positive shut-off.
The top entry model provides an air gap, preventing back-flow. Fully submerged valve is almost indestructible to livestock and models come in standard tail length and long tail length.
All edges have been rounded for safety and strength. If the tank gets a small leak due to unforeseen circumstances, such as a bullet hole, it can be braze welded with a common butane torch to fill the hole.
Capacity is one-half pint (1 cup). Useful for feeding or watering rabbits, poultry or any type of small animal. Polyethylene Cage Cup has molded-in hooks to clip onto the side of any type of wire animal cage.

Valve installs in any type of tank up to 1/2" wall thickness. Included with the Valve is a universal mounting kit which permits hook-up to 1/4" copper pipe, 1/2" metal pipe, garden hose or 1" PVC adapter fitting.
