Best thing I could be bought to keep fresh an not frozen water outside for the horses. A lifesaver in the frigid temps here. The heater keeps the water thawed in negative double digits, and it has yet to crack on me or leak or anything.

It has been the most reliable one I've tried. Unfortunately, it attracts the attention of the horses and they keep pulling it out. Unlike the smaller sinking versions, it keeps the water surface from freezing and it hasn't "burnt" out.

Hopefully they will replace it in the summer of 2018, cause it will take that long for it to thaw out so I can get to the heater! These heaters are perfect for our livestock tanks over winter.
