The salt is too coarse to drop into the spreader 100% of the time. I works well for sidewalk de-icer, but for rock salt it does not work great.

I wood rather have a seperate lever to control shoot angle and a forward to back lever to control side positoin. The shoot lever was hard to adjust.

Hopefully the durability is as good as the performance. It took down 2ft snow drifts no problem. It is also super easy to start, usually 1 pull. There is even an auto start if you plug it in, but I haven't needed it yet.

The aluminum shovels can't match. These shovels are long lasting and heavy enough to push through crusted snow.
