Striking deep purple flowers. Scent is a rather pleasant complex of fruit, eucalyptus and resin.

It has light, fluffy cones, small in size, with low amounts of pale yellow lupulin. The aroma is pleasantly floral with spice notes. Alpha acid 4-5.5%. Cones will shatter if picked too late.

Altogether the plant looks like a grove of white pine. Golden Rains colours are certainly not vibrant at the expense of flavour. Prefers well-drained, compost lightened clay. Spread 18-24in (45-60cm).
