I purchased this to replace original blades. Looks good but really a lousy knife. If you're cutting Sword fish or a very large saltwater fish into steaks, then it may work. Wish I could return, but how else can you know if it works unless you try it out.

I used it a few times I like it would tell other people it is the best But it dose a good job, it dose take about 15 min. Per batch of blue's about 20 fish 7-9" and about 1.5 gal of water.

Scales don't fly around like old scalers. Works so well I have given one to many friends.

It did a much better job by me increasing the rpms. It did a poor job. The second time I scaled 25 in 5 minutes. The third time I increased the speed even more and it did an excellent job on 30 fish in about 3 minutes.
