English Lavender Perennial

Two year old plants in our trials measured an impressive 4-4 ½' across! Lavender has been grown for centuries for its intensely fragrant flowers and beautiful appearance. Excellent for fresh cutting, this is an excellent Lavender selection for drying.

Prune back to 8” in spring every 3 years to control plant size and to promote robust, new growth. Gray-green leaves (to 2 1/2” long and 1/4” wide) on square stems. Lavender Provence' is one of the tallest of the lavandins.

Choose a location with excellent drainage. This selection forms a bushy mound of silver foliage, with long spikes of purple-blue flowers. They generally flower in midsummer, a little later than the English types.
