Don't but this if you don't wish to waste suet. Watched a crow open the door and knock the suet block out. Bought one thinking it would be good. Wish it had a longer chain though. Sturdy cage holds a single cake and stands up well to multiple birds.

By the way, it's not necessary to use 4 suet cakes. They especially like using the "floor" to stand on while they eat, so It's a big improvement over the square suet cage feeder that I was using previously.

The morning after hanging it, there it was on the ground, in pieces. I suspect raccoons tried to get to the hanging feeder. The hanging wire was stripped out of the center and would not reinsert, the clear portion was in about 5 pieces.

Well designed and built at a reasonable price! Would buy again.
