Year round use. Love this feeder. Extremely durable.easy to hang and easy to fill. At this price, a must.only down side, birds prefer a perch, so we added a coated hanger piece thru middle, bent on each side now we get 4 birds at a time.

It arrived quickly after ordering. Once this stand is firmly in the ground, the feeder hangs less than 12” off the ground. Had to cut 3” off the end to make it easier. The hummers started coming to it right away.

So, if you buy one, also make sure you use Loctite to secure the stainless rod into the base of the feeder. Due to wind, the feeder twisted the feeder off the stainless connecting rod and the feeder fell to the ground, shattering the plastic.
