You have to put almost a full quart of liquid in just to get to the ports so you are continuously adding fluid just to keep it full enough, the rest of fluid goes to waste The other does not.

Unfortunately the squirrels got the lid off. Yes it keeps the big gray squirrels from getting the bird seed. Not sure how but they did. Wired it shut and they still climb on it and shake seed out.

I hope my suggestions will be considered. I got my about 5 years ago. Look great yet. I had one for 5 or 6 years before I had to replace it with a new one. It's perfect! I love this feeder as it holds so much seedbut my squirrels like it too.

I will never purchase this brand again! I contacted the company and they happily mailed me a new one, free of charge. That one fell apart in two weeks. I bought one, and it fell apart within a WEEK of having it hanging outside.

It is beautiful and looks hummer friendly, so I cannot imagine why they or the tiny birds could not like it. Love the glass! So easy to keep clean! Also, the flower part keeps out ants and bees, etc.
