Cage keeps the crows and other larger birds from destroying the inner plastic tube feeder. Nice idea but near impossible fill design...not worth $20 and the bag of seed lost. I very good caged bird feeder for the little birds.

Frustrates the dickens out of the squirrels. I bought this about two months ago. The biggest, most persistent of them won't even try anymore. Worked at first. Bigger squirrels jut kept pulling it down and climbed it like a ladder.

Look great yet. I got my about 5 years ago. Have it hanging rope to take it down to fill. Still love this feeder though. I hope my suggestions will be considered. I had one for 5 or 6 years before I had to replace it with a new one.

I regret buying this. All of the others I found online did have the perch attachment. I bought this from Fleet Farm and it does not have the silver perch attachment that all of the other Homestead triple bin feeders have.
