Desperate to outwit those dang squirrels which flew from our roofline to dine on our hanging birdfeeder. We ordered it online and picked it up at the Blaine store a few hours later.

They are small enough to fit inside the wire caging and will sit there and eat for hours. It however does not work with the little red squirrels. Unfortunately the squirrels got the lid off.

I suspect raccoons tried to get to the hanging feeder. The hanging wire was stripped out of the center and would not reinsert, the clear portion was in about 5 pieces. The morning after hanging it, there it was on the ground, in pieces.

Nice try but no cigar on this one. Frustrates the dickens out of the squirrels. Once in a while a little metallic clink in the wind. Easy to attach. The biggest, most persistent of them won't even try anymore.

By the way, it's not necessary to use 4 suet cakes. I find that the feeder stays balanced with 2 cakes--or even one. I loved this feeder from the moment I hung it up--and, what's more important, the birds love it! They were attracted to it immediately.

Nice idea but near impossible fill design...not worth $20 and the bag of seed lost. Took about a day or two, but the finches caught on quickly! Very happy with our purchase! I very good caged bird feeder for the little birds.
