Basswood Carving Blanks

Handmade from Japanese White Oak. Wooden woodworking mallet for carving and splitting deadwood for jins. Mallet measures 11 3/4"L with 70mm (2 13/16") diameter head.

Very uniform with great tasting inside. A cross between Sugar Pie and Jack O' Lantern, vines yielding very uniform, excellent quality fruits. A high yielding, dark orange pumpkin, 6-8″ around, weighing about 5-6 lbs.

They usually average 12 inches in height and diameter. One of the oldest American pumpkins around. The flesh is sweet, thick and course. Dating back to 1700's. The Connecticut Field pumpkin is a large,15 to 20 pound globes that are flattened on the ends.

Largest pumpkin for faces or novelty, nearly round, 17-18 in. Thick flesh, large exhibition type, good for pies or canning. In diameter, fruits average 100 lb, slightly rough red-orange skin, bright yellowish-orange 3-4 in.

This larger variety has excellent yield and quality almost 100% of the fruit are marketable. Harvest King will produce a consistent 25-35 lb pumpkin.

Our timber does not travel though the Panama Canal. The quality is excellent and export to China on average in thirty days from the West Coast of Canada. Our Basswood is consistently white without mineral.

All wood is sealed with anchor seal to stop checking. This Basswood is selected for top quality no knots,stains,or checking. If you are looking for a specific size we can cut it , but take a minimum of 2 weeks to 3 weeks to cut and kiln dry.

I would also like to know shipping costs so I will know total costs. I need one piece of basswood 8x10x24\" and one piece 2 1/2x3x24\" I may get a large piece 12x12x24 depending on price.

The lengths can be in multiples of the lengths indicated (maximum length of 8'). To keep my costs down I would prefer to pick up the billets myself to avoid shipping charges so your location must be within a few hundred miles of Alexandria, MN.
