To use it, i can only have my fingertips around the grip just to be able for my thumb to reach it and I can almost palm a basketball. It follows the angle at the base of the lever meaning that it pretty much sticks out at a 60 degree angle to the grip.

In deep snow I just air them down and they perform well. Live in central coast, California, USA. Hands down the best tire i have ever run in the winter. I have a 2006 6l diesel F350 crew cab,long bed 4x4 w/18 inch wheel, and 2000pnds RV Camper on top.

So far, so good. Must be issue with tire. Smooth but sturdy feel to ride with great handing - rain or shine. I've had them a few months now and can't yet see treadwear, but I know from Michelin experience they will last many many years.
